This table was created approximately 45 years ago with a unique design influenced by two very important antique pool tables, the Brunswick Bros & Stephani & Hart "Champion" and Brunswick and Balke "Monarch."

The base, consisting of four horses, is from a table produced by Brunswick Bros & Stephani & Hart in the 1870s called the "Champion." The body’s design is from the Brunswick and Balke table made in the 1880s called the "Monarch."

This table is 4.5 x 9 in size and most likely had been a special-order, one-of-a-kind creation. The intricate base is very heavy and made of solid brass with an applied antique nickel finish. The body has exotic woods and inlays, with laurel burl being the main wood and inlays of maple, rosewood, and mahogany, among other woods. The rails and slates are from a 100-year-old Brunswick pool table with matching inlays and mouldings. Rail tops are made of a rosewood veneer with diamond-shaped inlays and a custom nameplate.
